ACT custom “modular” and “field built” air handling units are utilized at many high profile Federal Government, US Army COE, Commercial and Health care facilities. ACT has recently completed the following specialized custom air handling unit projects:
The Roosevelt building (GSA-Office of Personnel Management, Washington DC)
ACT units were selected by the GSA and Parsons Infrastructure to manufacture and assemble (14) Custom Field assembled ACT air handlers. Each unit is 35,000 CFM and include thermal break casings, mixing sections, two stage MERV-14 filters, chilled water coils, UV lighting, and plenum fans.
Bellevue Hospital, NY NY
ACT was contracted by Johnson controls to perform expedited 6 week production and field assembly of (6) custom Field built AHU’s totaling 200,000 CFM. Units ranged from 20,000 to 40,000 CFM in capacity and included, thermal break casings, steam pre heat coils, chilled water coils, humidifier manifolds, direct drive plenum fans, final blow thru filters.
The George Washington University (GWU) Gelman Library, Washington DC
ACT was contracted by GWU to manufacture and field assemble (4) Custom ACT air handlers. 10,000 CFM, 30,000 CFM, 55,000 CFM & 75,000 CFM capacities with thermal break casings, mixing sections, two stage MERV-14 filters, vertical steam preheat coils with internal trim, chilled water coils, plenum fans and sound attenuators. Southland Industries
Secured Federal project that utilized (29) modular factory built ACT custom units. 5,000-13,000 CFM capacities. All 29 units had to be built modular and fit through 34” wide man doors. Units included Thermal break casings, Tongue & grove section connections, mixing sections, MERV-14 filters, chilled water coils, UV lighting, direct drive plenum fans.
Ingalls Hospital, Chicago IL
ACT was contracted by Aramark Health Care to manufacture and assembly (8) custom Field built AHU,s totaling 160,000 CFM. Units ranged from 10,000 to 32,000 CFM in capacity and included, thermal break casings, Merv-8 & 14 pre filters, face and bypass steam pre heat coils, chilled water coils, humidifier manifolds, plenum fans, final blow thru HEPA filters.
Grand Hyatt, Washington DC
ACT was contracted by Host Properties to manufacture and assembly (1) 35,000 CFM field built custom AHU. The new unit had to be rigged through a 40” x 40” roof hatch and assembled in the penthouse on a concrete housekeeping pad. Unit construction included thermal break casings, Merv-8 & 14 pre filters, hot water pre heat and reheat coils, chilled water coils, humidifier manifold, and plenum fan.
